Unlike other boats that return to port at nightfall, we continue our journey in the darkness, exploring the arctic landscape under the mesmerizing glow of the Aurora Borealis. Our experienced guides will take you to the best spots in the area, where you can enjoy unobstructed views of the stunning lights.
Our excursion begins at our designated meeting point, which you can find on our website under “Info -> meeting point”. From here, we’ll head towards Akia, an area with a panoramic view of the city’s skyline and no distracting lights. We’ll then slowly cruise towards the vast fiord system, making multiple stops where we’ll turn off the boat engine and bask in the stillness of the night.
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon caused by particles from the Sun interacting with the Earth’s atmosphere at the magnetic poles. While we can’t guarantee that you’ll see the lights, going on our boat will give you the best possible chance to witness this awe-inspiring spectacle. Our boats are far from the light pollution of the city, providing clearer skies for optimal viewing.
In the event of cloudy weather, we may have to cancel the excursion to ensure that you have the best possible viewing experience. But if the skies are clear, prepare to be dazzled by the captivating dance of the Northern Lights.
